Generosity
WE VALUE — GENEROSITY
“The gospel gives lavishly — so do we.”
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe generosity is not a strategy — it is the natural overflow of a heart that has been found by grace. Because we have been given a love we could never earn, we hold our time, our resources, our ideas, and our relationships with open hands.
Generosity is our theology lived out loud…modeled by Jesus…and derivative because of him!
HOW WE BEHAVE
We give our best work freely when we can, and we price our resources with integrity when we must. We share credit generously — lifting other women’s voices, linking to their work, inviting them into ours.
We don’t hoard what we’ve received; we pass it on, knowing the choir sounds better the more voices join in. When we collaborate, we celebrate the other person’s contribution as much as our own.
We treat our community and collaborators the way we ourselves would want to be treated — with dignity, grace, and honor. We celebrate one another!
OUR NON-NEGOTIABLE
Unpolished Press will not operate from a scarcity mindset. We will not compete where we can collaborate, and we will not withhold what could bless someone else.
WE WANT EVERYONE TO FEEL
Welcomed — like there is more than enough room for others here, and nobody is keeping score.
Settled — with our righteousness in Christ secure there is nothing to lose, nothing to prove.
Surprised — by how freely they are given to — the exhale of receiving more than expected.
Emboldened — to turn around and give the same kind of generosity to someone else. Press & Pass along!
ANCHORING SCRIPTURES
2 Corinthians 9:8 — "God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." This verse grounds our generosity not in our own capacity but in God’s overflowing grace — we give because we have been given to, lavishly.
Luke 6:38 — "Give, and it will be given to you." Jesus’s teaching here is not a transaction but a description of how the kingdom moves — generosity flows through people and multiplies.
How great the love the Father has LAVISHED on us that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are!”
